Nowadays, the question of what can be called Hungarian literature is very busy. Whether this issue is relevant at the beginning of the 21st century. In my opinion, it is of great importance, because the literature of a nation can determine the spirituality of the nation, its attitude to the phenomena of the world. If I have to give an example of this from contemporary literature, I must definitely be among the first to mention Kornél Döbrenteik. Whether we examine his poetry or his prose, his sense of Hungarianness, his fearful and protective spirituality of his homeland radiate from every verse and every sentence.
